Recently company MSI mentioned about the release of motherboards P6N diamond and P6N SLI platinum, based on chipset nForce 680i SLI and nForce 650i SLI respectively. It was mentioned the support of the four core processors kentsfield, and nothing was said about most motherboards. To correct this issue was in the new press release of MSI company , which told about the plans with respect to the release of motherboards series P6N at the end of December of the present year.   As you can remember, at present NVIDIA and a part of its partners propose motherboards of standard design on the base of chipset nForce 680i SLI. Taking into account similar wishes, MSI decided to release the motherboards of its own design, which propose the unique set of functions. Is natural, that  P6N diamond and P6N SLI platinum will appear only at the end of December. : As is relied to motherboard on the base of chipset nForce 650i SLI, it maintains technology SLI according to the formula PCI express x8 + PCI express x8. Switching into mode of operation in single video card with the interface PCI express of x16 is accomplished with the help of the classical jumper- , located between graphic slots. Motherboard MSI P6N SLI platinum can support four core processors, including those with 1333 MHz with system bus. In the overclocking mode is provided the support for DDR 2-1200 and frequencies of system bus 500 MHz. Four ports SATA-300 with the possibility of association into RAID. More expensive motherboard MSI P6N diamond supplements similar possibilities with the presence of four slots PCI express x16, which are capable to support a layout of the type quad SLI. I please to note that the standard motherboard at the base of chipset nForce 680i SLI support only three slots PCI express x16 according to the formula PCI express  x16 + PCI express x16 + PCI express x8â??. The advantage key of MSI P6N diamond is the qualitative sound system- the motherboard has the sound controller creative sound blaster X -Fi Extreme, which ensures the support of eight-channel high(ly)-class sound. Qualitative sound differs all motherboards MSI of series diamond. Prices of those new board are not thus far determined, since the producer does not have even an available photographs of those motherboards. We hope that MSI will select the optimum balance between the price and the functional possibilities, and the utilization of an original design will make possible to completely reveal the overclocking abilities of chipset.
