It became known last week that the Japanese company Elpida acquired the rights to the production of GDDR memory on qimonda technologies , and also got about 50 engineers from the German company. Elpida company is intended to charge the Taiwan company winbond by the production of first GDDR-3 and GDDR-5 microcircuits . Yesterday Winbond in the official press release reported about the agreement with competitive qimonda manager on the transfer of rights to intellectual property and software, which would allow the first companies to develop and to release GDDR memory . For Elpida the memory will be released on 65 nm technology, for its own needs winbond will release GDDR memory on 70 nm technology.  As explains associate , within the agreement winbond will forgive Qimonda the debt in size of $28,89 ml.
