As reports associate with the reference to inSpectrum, due to an increase in the sale price on the contract market for memory microcircuit DRAM, the market in the past week also shows a growth trend. It is expected also that an increase in the prices will continue also on this week.
1- Gbit DDR2 memory grew in price by 5%, after rising to $1,49. At this time is observed a small drop in the price of DDR3 production . According to inSpectrum data , 1- Gbit DDR3 microcircuit cost $1,87.
It is expected that in the second-half of August, there will be observed an increase in the contract prices, caused, in essence, by the small release level of DDR2 product and by the smooth passage from the DDR2 to DDR3 memory. If 1- Gbit DDR2 chip grew in the price by 5%, then finished module with 2 GB capacity made from this memory rose in the price already by 9%,
inSpectrum specialists expect a global decrease in the DDR2 memory production by 12% in the fourth quarter this year as a result of the smooth passage to the next generation memory .
