While Intel fairly often changes mobile platforms and regularly presents new processors, which, in essence, constantly become faster , or somewhat more economical,  AMD from the times Of puma did not move. And here recently AMD described about their new mobile platforms tigris and Congo. Let's start from congo. This platform is for hyperfine mobile devices. The new processors Athlon neo and graphic processor radeon HD 3200 will make their contribution to development of multimedia, which is important for such devices type. Congo will ensure notebooks with HDMI and complete HD video support. The platform tigris is intended for standard notebook. The  new processors turion II Ultra consists on three models, top end from which will become Turion II Ultra m640 with two core and 2.6 GHz frequency, which, until now was not accessible for AMD mobile processors . Rest will  be characterized by decreased frequencies, 2.5 GHz, and 2.4 respectively, for the low-end model. The processors AMD turion II will be arranged in the frequency range from 2.0 to 2.3 GHz, in this case it is necessary to assume that their cost will be more democratic, and they will approach the wide spectrum of notebooks. Processors TDP will compose not more than 35 W for all models . Lowest-end model for the new platform will become Sempron m100 with one core and  2.0 GHz frequency, the TDP of this processor will be equal to 25 W. Perhaps, one of the main updates in tigris platform is the improved battery life . Difference can reach 25%, which was achieved due to the introduction of new energy-effective regimes. It is possible to observe the superiority of new AMD platform over Intel in different test . Note the suppressing superiority of  AMD platform in 3d Mark vantage test, since tigris platform include the graphic processor mobility radeon HD 4200.
