OCZ Company,  promised to use sandForce controllers  , which remove one of the weak sides of solid state disk – the low information transmission speed on writing operations. Associate tested the model OCZ vertex 2 Pro on base of sandForce SF-1200 controller. Promised superiority over competitors in writing operations  is actually observed: both with the sequential and arbitrary information transmission  . However, if we deal with reading arbitrary data speed, then here  Intel product occurs to be faster. The controllers sandForce embed the possibility of reliable work with cheap memory, providing a certain redundancy : this special feature eats more than 20% of disk space. The first impressions indicate that the sandForce controllers SSF  has a good chance to become the fastest in the consumer market segment  , but the price of corresponding disk is not thus far determined, so we can't speak about their competitory positioning.
