The solid-state disk OCZ technology series vertex 3 began to be supplied to the retail network in first half of April. The model vertex 3 with  240 Gb volume worthily showed itself in speed tests. OCZ technology company yesterday presented the optimized version SSD series vertex 3, which obtained the suffix max IOPS in the name. If usual SSD vertex 3 demonstrate speed at the level of 60 000 IOPS, then in the version max IOPS this index is increased to 75 000 IOPS. The series of SSD vertex 3 max IOPS consists of two models with 120 Gb and 240 Gb volume, both use the interface SATA-600 and TRIM function. The maximum reading speed in both cases is equal to 550 Mbyte(s)/s, writing speed - 500 Mbyte(s)/s. The SSD is based on 25 nm memory MLC and sandForce SF-2200 controllers.
