OCZ company has officially introduced the line of drive Vertex 4, built on the new generation platform. Storage devices are offered in 128, 256 and 512 GB versions, and, according to a press release, SSD Vertex 4 are ahead of their predecessors by up to 400%.
The dual storage controller use devices Indilinx Everest 2 with a frequency of 400 MHz. In addition, Everest supports two algorithms, leveling the memory cells, multi-level error correction code (ECC), as well as a special mechanism for signal processing, which prevents the degradation process of NAND chip .
All three versions use four devices Vertex synchronous memory chip MLC NAND, made on 25 nm technology, coupled with 1GB DDR3-800, which plays the role of data cache (depending on the model of SSD it will use 256, 512 or 1024 MB of cache).
