AMD will not remain the only globalfoundries client for long . At the end of July last year the numbers of collaborating from Globalfoundries developers of microcircuits supplemented the sTMicroelectronics company, which will place at the former German factories AMD orders for the production of 40 nm chips for telecommunication equipment.
Yesterday globalfoundries company declared, that its third client will become Qualcomm - important producer of controllers for wireless connection networks. This company plans to order microcircuits with the low energy consumption level on 45 nm and 28 nm technological processes. It is assumed that the first qualcomm production will be at Dresden factory fab 1 already in this year. Companies also intend to conduct developments and investigation in the interaction region of base layer and silicic crystal, and also three-dimensional microcircuit layout . | ||
