In the notebook last generation the DDR- 3 modules with 4 Gb volume on base of 30 nm memory consume only three watts, which corresponds to three percent of entire electric power, consumed by notebooks. DDR- 3 Memories, released by Samsung on 30 nm technology, can be used in modules with the default voltage 1.5 or 1.35 v. The corresponding modules can be installed in the desktop systems, netbook and servers. Mass production of DDR3 memory on 30 nm technology by Samsung company will start in the second-half this year.
