Under the general name bluetooth 4.0 will be assembled three specifications of interface: classical version (Classic bluetooth), version with the increased transmission speed (Bluetooth high speed) and version with the lowered energy consumption (Bluetooth low of energy). The version bluetooth low energy is intended for application in medical equipment, trainers, monitoring systems and other regions, where prolonged off-line operation is important and speed is not so important. The frequency of 2,4 GHz is selected for the radio channel, the protection of data will ensure AES-128 coding, the connection distance  will reach 100 m, and the maximum transfer speed will be 1 Mbit/s. The high-speed version bluetooth uses as IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi). Maximum connection range  is 70 m. the basic application fields of  classic bluetooth and Bluetooth high speed are PC and smart phone. All three interface versions can be realized in one microcircuit with a minimum increase in the production expenditures  . The interface, which corresponds to bluetooth 4.0 specification, is already accessible in silicon for producers, interested in its integration in its developments. It is expected that the new standard will be officially affirmed to the end of block.
