The high-speed version bluetooth uses as IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi). Maximum connection range is 70 m. the basic application fields of classic bluetooth and Bluetooth high speed are PC and smart phone.
All three interface versions can be realized in one microcircuit with a minimum increase in the production expenditures . The interface, which corresponds to bluetooth 4.0 specification, is already accessible in silicon for producers, interested in its integration in its developments. The appearances of first products with bluetooth 4.0 support is expected at the end of present year or in the beginning of future.
