OCZ company today announced another solid-state drive for the corporate market segment. The SSD work with PCI Express x8 interface - Z-Drive Revision 4. The drive is designed to meet the requirements of enterprise applications and features data center. Z-Drive Revision 4 supplements the range of products, built on virtual controllers VCA 2.0 architecture .
Devices with PCI Express interface provides higher speed in comparison with SATA or SAS. Drive Z-Drive Revision 4 with a single OCZ SuperScale controller can provide speeds up to 2800 MB / s sequential read operations and up to 500 000 input / output operations per second. In case of SSD with two controllers, the performance increases proportionally up to 5600 MB / s and 1.2 million input / output operations per second.
SSDs Z-Drive Revision 4 will be available in two standard versions: a version with half-height, oriented for use in servers, whose height is limited to one business unit or multi-node rack servers, the SSD will be offered in versions with capacities from 300 GB to 1.2 TB; and full-weight version, offered in versions with capacities from 800GB to 3.2 terabytes. Z-Drive Revision 4 uses flash memory chip MLC NAND, support error correction technology, data encryption, protect against power failures, TRIM command and SCSI. Related Products :
