South Korean industrial giant, Samsung Electronics company, announced the mass production of world's first memory chips DDR3 DRAM, made in compliance with the 20-nm process technology class. Production started at the factory Line-16, which Samsung calls the world's largest. The 20-nm class process will increase production efficiency by 50% while reducing power consumption of memory modules by 40% compared to previous generations. Samsung will be release 2 Gbps chips capacity , but by the end of this year, will start production of 4 Gbps, which will create a memory capacity of 16 and 32 GB. The following year, Line-16 goes to the production of chips, previously created by 10-nm process technology class. Factory Line-16 is located in the complex of Nano City in Hwaseong City, Province Kendigo in the north-west of the country . | ||
