Hard disks  producers attempt to release products with impressive characteristics and than faster competitors solution .  the companies hitachi and Seagate, has the secret about the delivery of hard disk by volume one tera-byte (1 Tb or 1000 Gb). Hitachi promised to show its model deskstar 7K1000 in this blocks. Let us recall that this hard disk will consist on five plates, with rotation speed 7200 rp/min and equipped with 32 mb buffer in the version with interface serial ATA (SATA-300). Modification with interface parallel ATA had to be characterized by modest buffer volume only 8 mb. Let us note that in Japanese stores hitachi deskstar 7K1000 was already present in sale , the version with serial ATA interface will enter during the next two days on price on the order of $425. The producer recommend selling this hard disk on price $399. Seagate company  , to which now belongs the large part of hard disks market  , also promised to release tera-byte hard disk in the near future, simply here Seagate selected longer period - first half of 2007. Today appeared the characteristics of hdd seagate with volume 1 Tb. First of all, let us designate clearly its announcement periods  : the model seagate barracuda 7200.11 with 1000 Gb volume will be released in the end of April. As it was communicated earlier, this hard drive will have four plates instead of five (like in hitachi product ) , this will improve the characteristics of hard disk and also will allow to reduce its price. The rotation speed will be equal to 7200 rp/min, and here the buffer volume is lower than Hitachi - 16 mb. vs 32 mb.   We hope that similar limitation will favorably affect the price of 1TB hdd segate barracuda 7200.11.
