Analysts believe that the unformed among users demand for sensory properties of the laptop screen, as well as high requirements to devices running Windows 8, touch panels are forcing manufacturers to favor production of sensors for smartphones and tablets.
Based on the expected production volume of laptops, NPD DisplaySearch company believes that the volume of laptops with touch screens this year will be at 13.1% or 27.2 million shares. In this thin notebook (less than 18 mm thick for diagonal screens 10-14 inches and less than 21 mm diagonal screens over 14 inches) in 2013 will be released at the level of 44.2 million shares or 21.4% of the total weight.
