MSI has announced XL-ATX motherboard model Z87 XPower supporting LGA 1150 processors. The device is based on Intel Z87 chipset and is aimed primarily at computer enthusiasts. The processor power supply system is built on a 32-phase scheme and controlled by a digital controller, PWM, power is supplied through the 24-pin ATX, two 8-pin EPS, and an optional 6-pin PCI-Express connectors.

Z87 XPower has four slots for dual-channel memory DDR3-3000 DIMM (up to 64 GB), the bridge PLX PEX8747 PCI-Express gen 3.0 four-slot PCI-Express 3.0 x16 (two of them are functioning x16, and all four - in x8 mode with the ability to create graphical system 4-way Nvidia SLI and 4-way AMD CrossFireX), fifth x16 slot is connected directly to the CPU (for connecting a video card) and two slots PCI-Express 2.0 x1. There is also support for Lucid Virtu MVP 2.0.

The motherboard has six SATA 6 Gb / s (one mSATA compatible with 6Gb / s), four SATA 6 Gb / s controller via the ASMedia ASM1061, four-port USB 3.0, four-port USB 3.0, two ASMedia ASM1074 controller on the back panel connector, two USB 2.0/1.1 port, and six USB 2.0/1.1 via pin connectors.

There is also 7.1-channel audio codec Realtek ALC1150 (the kit includes software Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3), 802.11 b / g / n WLAN and Bluetooth 4.0 adapters, port Gigabit Ethernet (Killer E2205), two HDMI and one DisplayPort output .
