Samsung Electronics has announced the start of mass production of DDR4 memory module , according to the manufacturer, designed for enterprise servers running in the data center of new generation.
The 16 and 32 GB DDR4 DRAM chips modules used a density of 4 Gbps, made by the 20-nanometer technology class.
Enterprise servers for the next generation through the use of high-speed memory type DRAM can get performance gains while reducing the overall energy consumption. DDR4 modules are the fastest modules for servers today. Data transfer rate of 2667 Mbit / s, which is 1.25 times the speed of DDR3 modules , which also uses 20-nanometer chip class. The power consumption is reduced by more than 30%.
In 2008, Samsung introduced the memory chip density of 2Gb DDR3, produced on 50-nanometer technology class.
