Following the processors code-named Broadwell, Intel will release processors based on Skylake microarchitecture. The date of Skylake release is 2015. For the production of the chips will use the same fabrication process as for the release of Broadwell.
Processors Xeon E3-1200 v5, will be produced on 14-nanometer technology, like the currently produced models series Xeon E3-1200, will have two or four cores and support Hyper-Threading. They will be equipped with built-in dual-channel memory controller supporting up to four DIMM memory module DDR4-2400 total of up to 64 GB.
Processors Xeon E3-1200 v5 will be released by LGA1151. To interact with a chip in them will be integrated interface DMI 3.0. Processors will become part of the platform Greenlow, including chipsets series Intel C230. In turn, the chipset consists of chips PCH (Platform Controller Hub) Sunrise Point and PHY Jasksonville. In the configuration of the first 20 lines are added PCIe, 8-port SATA 6 Gb / s ports USB 3.0 interface and SATA Express. The second is responsible for connecting Ethernet, realized by the controller Intel I219LM.
the processors Xeon E3-1200 and v5 platform Greenlow will be presented in 2015.
