Autodesk has decided to contribute to the development of technology and introduced bulk printing software platform called Spark, as well as 3D-printer reference design, which will be the first implementation of this platform. Autodesk hopes that its initiative to attract third-party developers and stimulate the rise of industry.
Interestingly, the Spark platform will open and freely licensed to manufacturers and stakeholders. Draft printer Autodesk also plans to introduce in the public domain - so the company wants to encourage experiments to further development. Printer, by the way, will be able to work with a wide range of materials.
Autodesk will work with developers to integrate Spark into existing and future models of 3D-printers. The debut of the platform and the reference printer Autodesk will take place later this year.
