Company Oculus VR with its ambitious project has revived interest in the subject of virtual reality, but its own device - helmet Oculus Rift - is still under development, and no one can say when the device will be available promising a wide range of users.   This spring started collecting pre-orders for the second version of the development kit (DK2), the supply of which, according to Oculus, started yesterday.  Characteristically, the new version of the helmet had received more than 45,000 applications, but initially Oculus will ship only about 10,000 devices that will get to customers in 2-3 weeks.  Others have to wait for DK2, at least until August. Note that in the hardware component DK2 compared with the first version set has changed dramatically.  Helm became a bit smaller and lighter, and the resolution of its screens has increased to 1920 x 1080 pixels (960 x 1080 dots per eye).  Complete camera appeared to accurately capture the user's movements.  DK2 cost is $ 350.
