The consumer version of the virtual reality helmet Oculus Rift can leave in 2015, and while the company-developer Oculus VR continues to produce a version of the device for developers. In place of the second version of the kit comes with the model code-named Crescent Bay, which was announced at a special event in Los Angeles.
After another portion of changes Oculus Rift became easier, it got a screen with a higher resolution and improved optics, as well as built-in headphone technology to support RealSpace3D, providing a realistic sound. Infrared emitters for which a special camera detects the position of the user's head, is now located on the front, back and sides of the helmet.
At $ 350 developer kit Oculus Rift second version has sold more than 70,000 copies.
Simultaneously Oculus VR made the announcement app store Oculus Platform, which will be launched later this fall. Initially, the store will offer applications for virtual reality devices Gear VR, but later joined the platform and other devices. Related Products :
