Tablets Manufacturers this year are planning to take a series of measures to revitalize the market, increase sales and reduce costs in the hope to overcome the current difficulties caused by falling prices and shrinking demand.
According to industry sources, global shipments of tablet devices and 2-for-1 in the fourth quarter of 2014 amounted to 76.1 million units, up 3.2% from a year earlier. Deliveries of the first tablets decreased since the formation of the market in 2010. But, despite the decline in sales in the last quarter, global shipments of tablets at the end of 2014 increased by 4.4% compared with 2013 year to 229.6 million units.
Delivery iPad tablet has also declined by 14% to 63.4 million units in 2014. Volumes of supplies of other tablets, including Xiaomi and HTC (Nexus 9) were also lower than expected.
