The regular cooling system for GeForce 8800 gt video card do not arrange many due to the low productivity and high noise level ; therefore the majority of NVIDIA partners replaced the standard cooler with something more effective.

This week EVGA company assert that the new GeForce 8800 gt versions are made in GeForce of 8800 GTS 512 mb design. The same cooling system and three phases power system are used.

EVGA released new video card series : EVGA e-geForce 8800 GT AKIMBO SC 512 mb. (512-.P3-N808- AR) and EVGA e-geForce 8800 GT Superior Cooling 512 mb. (512-.P3-N807- AR). Both have identical two-stage cooler , the first works at 720/1728/2000 MHz frequencies, the second - at 600/1500/1800 MHz . The cost of the first is equal to $289, the second is evaluated at $269.

Producer asserts that new cooler model is capable to reduce the temperature by 25 degree Celsius.

In European retail, appeared the video card EVGA e-geForce 8800 GTS Black Pearl 512 mb with the preinstalled water-block, which works at frequencies 740/1835/1980 MHz. Prices in Germany begin from 432 Euro.
