Sapphire company already used vaporizing chamber cooling principle in its video cards Atomic radeon HD 3870. This cooling principle allow twice higher heat transmission speed in comparison with thermal tube , and thermal resistance in this system is 50% lower than in usual copper cooler . We note also the compact cooler sizes - video card with such cooling system occupy only one expansion slot .
The radeon HD 3870 series atomic from Sapphire worked at frequencies 825/2400 MHz.  Thus, Sapphire released the video card Toxic radeon HD 3870, which is equipped with similar cooling system (vaporizing chamber ), but here it appears simpler in comparison with the atomic version .  Furthermore, the toxic version does not possess monitoring temperature system and fan rotation speed control . Finally, the video card series toxic has lower default frequencies - 800/2304 MHz (standard for Radeon HD 3870 values are (775/2250 MHz) ). memory Type and volume remained as before - 512 mb. GDDR-4.  All these simplification measures allowed approximately 20% cost savings . The atomic version can be purchased for 259 Euro, and the toxic version for 202 Euro. Related Products : | ||
