Qualcomm has introduced three new single-chip platform for smartphones and tablets: Snapdragon 625, Snapdragon 435 and Snapdragon 425. It should be noted that the last chip was already announced earlier, but it seems that the developer plans changed, and yesterday announced SoC got completely different characteristics.
Snapdragon 625 received eight cores Cortex-A53, which operate at a frequency above 2 GHz. For graphics processing the controller Adreno 506, as well as X9 LTE modem. This mobile chip supports LPDDR3 RAM 933 MHz cameras with resolutions up to 24 megapixels and a display with a resolution up to 1900 x 1200 pixels. It also supports recording and playback of video in 4K resolution (3820 x 2160 pixels), fast charging technology Quick Charge 3.0. This SoC will be made on 14-nm process, while the other two - to 28-nm.
With regard to the Snapdragon 435, this platform as well as the Snapdragon 625 is equipped with eight cores Cortex-A53, only here they operate at frequencies up to 1.4 GHz. This novelty is equipped with Adreno 505 graphics controller, modem X8 LTE, and supports memory LPDDR3 800 MHz, displays with resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 pixels and a camera with a resolution of 21 megapixels.
Finally, the least powerful of the new products - Snapdragon 425. This SoC has four cores Cortex-A53 at up to 1.4 GHz, Adreno 308 graphics controller and X6 LTE modem. This SoC platform supports 667MHz LPDDR3 memory, camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels, the displays of 1280 x 800 pixels, recording and playback of Full HD video and fast charging Quick Charge 2.0.
Devices with a single chip data platforms will be available in the second half of this year. Related Products :
