Intel company each new year release new processors , then the announcement of chipsets and updated processors follow during June.

In this year intel presented its 45- nm processors for all market segments (servers, desktop and mobile CPU) and now intel partners are prepared to reorient their mobile PC production from santa rosa (Centrino) platform to the new Montevina (Centrino 2) already in the middle of this year, during June.

June update implies to the arrival of penryn processors , 1066- MHz FSB and certainly, new chipset .

The basic differences between Txxx and Pxxx- processors is the frequency and TDP value. In this case U3300 is reserved for the thinnest (desktop pc and notebook). Versions with 1,6 and 1,8 GHz frequency will be used in macBook air.

As chipsets will come the GM45, GM47 and PM45. GM45/47 is based on X4500 HD with good performance of built-in video core.

Notebook centrino 2 platform will be equipped with 2 GB turbo memory (Windows vista readyDrive and ReadyBoost).

Such notebook will get new controllers : 82567LM and 82567LF gigabit ethernet. Optionally : WLAN- solutions shirley peak : intel wi-Fi link 5100/5300.
