NVIDIA Company, simultaneously with the announcement of chipsets series nForce 790i SLI presented its new EPP 2.0 expansions , witch use DDR- 3 modules . Let us recall that nForce 790i Ultra SLI chipsets support DDR 3-2000 mode with EPP 2.0 memory .
Intel company , also uses analogous technologie but here it is called XMP expansions , it allow the chipset intel x48 to work with DDR 3-1600 memory . With reference to Crucial's Technology representative , ( Crucial already created a DDR- 3 memory module , which have simultaneous support to EPP 2.0 and XMP expansion ) , The Presence of two opposite DDR- 3 modules with EPP 2.0 and XMP expansions will create some inconvenience to users. Memory producers can earn on this memory separation : they can sell certified packages DDR- 3 for both chipsets intel and NVIDIA.... | ||
