Suppliers expect that by the end of this year, Motorola Mobility company will increase orders for release of components for low-cost smartphones. Increase in orders is due to an increase in sales in Mexico, Brazil and India.
According to the Taiwanese trade publication DigiTimes, Motorola plans to increase its market share in emerging markets, as well as strengthen its presence in the advanced economies at the expense of low-cost mobile devices. This strategy will benefit Taiwanese suppliers of touch panels, which are expected to increase in orders from Motorola for the production of touch screens.
According to sources, Motorola expects that the demand for low cost smartphones low-resolution screen will remain stable until the end of the year.
