Last year, one third of Qualcomm company revenue regularly received from license fees.  Meanwhile, the company remains one of the largest suppliers of cellular modems and platforms for cellular base stations, which enables it to take advantage of a monopoly position with all its consequences.   For a monopoly position in the market, Qualcomm has been persecuted by the authorities in China, Taiwan, South Korea and the European Union.  In China, the company was even fined.  Thus, in February 2015, Qualcomm paid $ 975 million .
