Intel company already reported that atom processor is enough for most mobile Internet- devices (Mobile Internet devices, MID) and notebooks . Since 45- nm atom has the same instruction system, as Core 2, softwares which works on Core 2 are also suitable  for Atom. According to associate , Intel demonstrated the model atom z530, which works at 1,6 GHz frequency  with CINEBENCH 9.5  (Note HT On ). This processor collected 158 points. Without HT the result was reduced to 103. For comparison , the processor AMD athlon 64 3000+ shows 256 , and Intel core 2 Extreme QX6700  1327. In other words, Atom appears completely enough for MID and notebook, working under Microsoft XP or Linux. Related Products :

	I guess we would need some ARM benchmark... since huge majority of very portable device one. Tough, a energy consumption test for thoses might be more appropriate.

	the real question is how does the Atom 1.6 hold up against the VIA C7-M ULV 1.6?
