Hybrid SLI technology , which consists on : GeForce boost and Hybrid power, is already available AND now some product gradually begin to appear . From the motherboard side , we have the chipset GeForce 8200, nForce 750a and nForce 780a for AMD platform , and the corresponding products for Intel processors . Video card witch support hybrid SLI are GeForce 9800 GTX and GeForce 9800 GX2, and GeForce 8400 GS . NVIDIA assure that the association of discrete video cards and build in chipset graphic core resources allow to attain a performance increase by up to 80%. Certainly, the 80% will be in some rare specific case , and in the majority of situations performances boost will be modest. Hybrid SLI distributes loads between video cores according to AFR method , as in case with Quad SLI. Hybrid SLI is supported only by Windows vista. | ||
