The shape factor mini-ITX computer from VIA does not have any chances to survive the arrival of desktop version intel atom. For clearer platforms segmenting intel will forbid to partners to create desktop products on base of atom processors in formats, different from Mini-ITX. In other words, all inexpensive desktop systems on base Of intel atom must have a shape factor mini-ITX. With increase in demand for systems components format mini-ITX the prices of motherboards (corresponding class) will be lowered. Now it is necessary to overpay for compact systems. Asus and ECS companies already confirmed their intentions to release the desktop solutions on base Of intel atom during June , later Shuttle, Acer and Dell will join them . | ||
