In the fourth quarter of the present year AMD company is intended to present two four core models ( 45 nm deneb processors ) , which will work in the frequency 2.4-2.8 GHz, and in this case it will preserve TDP value not more than 95 W. The cache capacity in the third level will be increased from 2 to 6 mb. Propus processors without cache in the third level will also pass to the 45 nm technology . It is known that their frequency range will lie within the limits 2.3-2.6 GHz, TDP level will not exceed 65 W. Propus will present the first four core AMD processor with TDP level not more than 45 W. According to fresh AMD plans : This last will releae during August the three core processors phenom X3 8450e (2.1 GHz) and Phenom X3 8250e (1.9 GHz) with TDP level not more than 65 W. Let us note that the deliveries of phenom X3 8250e  processor (1.9 GHz) will stop in the fourth quarter. At the end of the second quarter the delivery of Phenom X4 9100e (1.8 GHz) stepping B2 will also stop, while in the third quarter AMD will present the phenom X4 9350e model  (2.0 GHz). To the end of year AMD will show the economical version phenom X4 with TDP level not more than 65 W. Last 65 nm four core with high frequencies will be presented by AMD company in the fourth quarter : phenom X4 9850 (2.5 GHz) with  TDP level not more than 95 W, or the processor phenom X4 9950 (2.6 GHz). To the end of the fourth quarter AMD company will release two 45 nm model phenom X4 on deneb core with 6 mb divided cache in the third level. They will work in the frequencies range 2.4-2.8 GHz. AMD PROPUS IN Q1 2009

As linux is getting more popular, the energy efficient processors like propus will gain more success. There will be time when ultra economic processors are the most asked ones. By then speed is going to be less important if it is considered to be sufficient enough. Keeping in mind that 1) there are many linux distributions which are much faster than windows based systems, and 2) some motherboard manufacturers are including linux desktops in their mobos to get boot time in about two or three seconds, Amd will likely take the opportinity to manufacture a processor which is targeted to their customers\'s future needs. Intel\'s approach is even more ambitious while they announced to buy solar cell technology. We have had solar cells in calculators more than two decades, so when do we see laptops using the same idea? My calculator has a tiny cell, smaller than two square inches so there should be a way to produce a laptop having hundreds of times more efficient solar cell and still capable to run the lightweight distros which are already there (xubuntu, vectorlinux, puppylinux etc.).
