Toshiba storage device division company presented its first 80- GB automobile HDD with SATA interface .

The Model MK8057GSC relates to the seventh generation HDD Toshiba which includes the models with  volume 40, 60 and 80 GB with PATA interface . Passage to the new interface according to the company, facilitates integration with contemporary chipset, simplifies cable separation and increases the data exchange rate .

MK8057GSC Technical specifications :

  • Volume : 80 GB;
  • Quantity of plates/heads : 1/2;
  • Access time 16 ms;
  • Interface : serial ATA v 2.6; capacity 1,5 Gbit/s;
  • Fan rotation speed : 4200 rp/min;
  • Operating temperatures range : from - 30 to +85°C
  • Operating altitudes range : from - 300 to +5500 m;
  • Vibrations: : 3g (with 5-50 Hz frequency  ), 2g (with 50-500 Hz frequency  ); 5g (10-500 Hz);
  • Permissible impacts: i 300g (during 2 ms), 100g (during 11 ms);  800g (1 ms);
  • Sizes : 69,8 x of 100,0 x 9,5 mm;
  • Weight : 98 g.
