The portable computers segment remains one of the few markets, where steady demand is observed in this complex time.
In the beginning of this month AMD company presented the processors athlon neo, which is the alternative Of Intel atom with the more attractive relationship of price, functional possibilities and performance. In turn, Intel company noted that it will propose special processors for hyperfine notebook with moderate cost on base of core 2 Duo architecture, whose TDP level will not exceed 10 W. Today appeared a new information about the new Intel platform , which will appear in the second quarter of the present year. According to Intel concepts , new economical processors will allow to create hyperfine notebook with cost $699-899. Three important notebook producers already develop their products on base of the new processors class , the annual sales volumes must reach 10 ml. pieces. Intel already could re-convince HP company , which planned to release notebooks on base of Intel atom z5xx (Menlow) processor with 13.3 inches screen, to use new processor for creating this notebook.
