In recent days we repeatedly noted the opinion,  that platforms with only DDR- 3 memory support  under the current economic conditions do not have chances to success, since the prices of DDR-2 fell to a much more attractive level. Computers and motherboard producers are even interested in presenting Intel platform LGA 1156 later. During February must appear the first AMD processors with DDR- 3 support, which have the socket AM3. They can work, also, with DDR-2 memory, In this case the processors Intel LGA 1366 and LGA 1156 are limited to DDR3 only. As reports associate with the reference to DRAMexchange analysts, in this year the DDR3 memory will not have a chance to occupy a dominant position on the market relative to DDR-2. On the market is observed a surplus of  DDR-2 memory chips , which against the universal crisis caused a drop in prices by 73%. DDR- 3 Memory also fell, but only by 38%.
