For most users the compatibility problem of existing motherboards with the 32 nm processors clarkdale LGA 1156 is not an urgency, since such motherboards will appear only in the third quarter, and immediately they can assure compatibility with the promising dual core processors, although first they will exploit only the four core 45 nm lynnfield processors.
Currently nehalem architecture processors are released only in LGA 1366, and it is possible to install them only on Intel x58 motherboards. Naturally, few users need the compatibility with the future 32 nm processors gulftown, which will appear in the following year. Let us recall that these processors will have six core and LGA 1366 design concepts .

Associate reports that a part of existing motherboards on base of Intel x58 chipset will be able to work with 32 nm processors gulftown after a simple bios update. The power system of these motherboards must be released according to Intel recommendations . If motherboards producers have not followed these recommendations, then Intel cannot guarantee compatibility with 32 nm processors .
