Elpida Japanese company recently actively uses strange memory producers for the output of its product.
According to official press release on Elpida site, the company completed the development of its own memory GDDR5 microcircuits with 1 Gbit density, capable of working at frequencies to 6 GHz QDR. Until now, elpida did not manage technologies for the release of graphic memory, but during August , qimonda licenses allowed it in collaboration with Winbond to prepare the production of GDDR- 5 microcircuits, that correspond to all contemporary market requirements .  The deliveries of mass models will begin during December this year, and mass production will be expanded in April- June following year. The expansion of GDDR- 5 suppliers favorably will affect the market for video cards, since the memory scarcity already repeatedly caused both the increase in prices of graphic card and reduction in their delivery volumes .
