At present, the price of USB 3.0 controllers was reduced from $5-6 to $3, and soon it can descend to $2.5 or even $2. On the Taiwan market, the competing producers of USB 3.0 controllers already started a price war.
According to analyst estimations , the demand on devices with USB 3.0 support will grow from 12,5 ml pieces in 2010 to 100 ml pieces in 2011. Taiwan producers to 2015 expect to engage 40% of market for disk with the USB 3.0 interface.
