AMD promised to begin the deliveries of 32 nm llano processors in the present half-year, on the market they will appear not earlier than the first quarter following year. In the technological plan, these processors will get one important update: within the 32 nm technology AMD will use a combination of dielectrics with high value constant k and transistors with the metallic lock. The combination of these technologies is designated by HKMG abbreviation. It is known that with the release of  AMD processor deals globalfoundries company.   Company promised that globalfoundries clients will present the first products with HKMG use in the first quarter present year. If we consider that series  AMD processors in this year forced will search for reserves in increasing the frequency potential within the previous 45 nm technical process, it is easy to believe, that the addition HKMG would allow AMD to achieve a worthy result in this field. However, according to the official commentaries of globalfoundries representatives,  the company does not intend to inject HKMG within the 40 nm and 45 nm technical processes. AMD also explained, that it will not use HKMG with the production of its 45 nm processors. globalfoundries clients  will obtain access to HKMG technology within the  32 nm and 28 nm technical processes.
