On the exhibition computex OCZ company presented new solid-state disk. Assocaite revealed the hybrid hard disk, which includes both the solid-state memory and classical HDD elements. One additional special feature Of revoDrive hybrid is the expansion card for PCI express x4 interface.  Solid-state memory can use several controllers, developed by SandForce and configured in RAID 0. Microcircuits serve as cache for the mechanical device part , which can work with rotation speed from 5400 to 7200 RPM . Journalists note that caching diagram can be effective even with 5400 RPM . For cache control is used software dataplex, developed by nvelo company. The specifications Of revoDrive appear as follows: reading and writing rate 575/500 Mbyte(s)/s respectively, the disk is capable to ensure to 30000 operations of input/output per second. OCZ prepares as minimum two versions of disk with 60 Gb SSD/500 Gb HDD and 120 Gb SSD/1 Tb HDD. RevoDrive will appear on sale during July for $350. Related Products : | ||
