Intel and AMD talked about the impact of Windows 8 release with support for ARM processors. Intel representatives have expressed confidence in their abilities, citing the high performance offered by x86-compatible processors, and better compatibility own platform with the existing applications.
AMD employees responded to a similar question a little differently. They explained that the highly segmented tablet PC market would not really be transformed immediately after the release of Windows 8 in the second half of next year.
For its part, AMD will continuously improve tablet processors. On 2012 it will present Hondo , and in 2013, the optimized hybrid plates processor.
