The popularity of chipsets NVIDIA for AMD processors is pretty wide, and this is confirmed by numerical value : To NVIDIA belongs the high portion of this segment. Meanwhile AMD company considered ATI purchase as the possibility to obtain the active membership, which allow to release chipset under its proper name. In this case the portion of VIA was increased from 10,8% to 13,7%. Company AMD actually demonstrated the tendency to get significant market share for chipsets with its own processors: in the past block its portion grew from 23% to 30%. In other words, almost each three chipset, sold as motherboard for AMD processor , One of them is released by AMD company . Let us note that this picture does not represent the structure of market according to chipsets classes : mobile and desktop, integrated and discrete. If we compare instantaneous values with the value from the fourth quarter of 2005, then from the desktop chipsets producers progress was demonstrated only by NVIDIA and AMD, VIA and SiS noticeably yielded to competitors.
