Thunderbolt Interface, formerly known as Light Peak, developed by Intel and is actively promoted with Apple support  .  In future, this promising technology will appear in ultrabook that Intel plans to take at least 40% of the market for mobile computers.  In these devices, Thunderbolt will be used to connect a special docking station. On the slim ultrabook it is difficult to place a large number of ports and interfaces, Thunderbolt, in turn, is a combination of PCI Express interface, and DisplayPort, which makes it a great choice of available for sale in the dock connector.  It may be mini-HDMI, HDMI, D-Sub, Multi-port USB (in fact, possible to implement an external USB-Controller), eSATA, as well as many other devices that can be combined with PCI Express. In the future, the dock can be placed not only as connectors interface , for example, an additional power source, and external audio or video card.  The first ultrabook equipped with all necessary connectors for connecting the dock will appear in 2012.
