Associate reports, that at present , the official announcement of graphic card on base of chips AMD/ATI r600/RV610/RV630 is planed BY AMD on 14 May of the present year. However, the plans of AMD company with respect to the release periods for these graphic accelerators already changed many times; therefore to name this date final is hardly possible. We will use this occasion to recall all known to us about such cards. Budget chip RV610 will be released in two version. The first of them, RV610LE, which works at frequency 400 MHz, will be installed in card with memory DDR2. The second, RV610PRO, whose clock frequency will be 700 MHz, will function with memory DDR3. RV610 will have only 64- bit memory system bus . The printed-circuit board of such accelerators will be, correspondingly, four-layer or six-layer, and their energy consumption will compose only 25/35 W. Mass RV630 will be used in cards equipped WITH DDR2, DDR3 and DDR4, it will allow AMD/ATI to maximally diversify their model number. The memory interface in such card will be 128- bit . Energy consumption will be, correspondingly, 75 W, 93 W and 128 W. Both graphic chips will be produced according to the most perfect until today technological standards, used in GPU production , 65 nm. However, for high end graphic processor AMD/ATI, R600, we can not confirm information about the 65- nm technical process . One of AMD company leaders  in its interview said that this GPU will be produced on 80- nm standards. High end chip will be used in four products. Radeon X2900XTX witch will have versions: Dragons head 2 (length of printed-circuit board is approximately 24 cm, it is equipped with giga-byte memory GDDR4, 2 GHz with the 512- bit access , the assumed graphic processor frequency is 800 MHz) and Dragons head (printed-circuit board - 31,5 cm , the remaining characteristics are identical, such card is oriented to OEM- collectors). Below will be located the Radeon X2900XT (code name cats eye, with 512 mb memory , type GDDR3 , and also with 10-15% lower frequencies). Finally, we have the Radeon X2900XL but there are no reliable data about its characteristics . The energy consumption of high end card AMD/ATI, according to preliminary information, will be within the limits of 180-270 W. Related Products :
