Yesterday we published the first data about the speed of four core processors yorkfield, which relate to 45 nm generation penryn; however, information was presented in the form of relative numbers. Today we had available information about the speed of Yorkfield 3.33 GHz, In the charts bellow u can compare the speed of  dual core (Wolfdale) and four core processor (Yorkfield) processors penryn, which work at 3.33 GHz frequency . Published yesterday data are confirmed, most noticeable advantage Of yorkfield over Kentsfield is in video coding - performance boost is by 111%. Such nice increase is mainly due to the SSE4 expansions , which appear in multimedia tasks. It is interesting also to note that dual core processor wolfdale with frequency 3.33 GHz is 27% faster than four core processor core 2 Extreme QX6800 (2.93 GHz) in game half-Life 2 Lost coast. And also 42% faster in Divx 6.6 Alpha. The test system configuration was : Motherboard Intel D795XBX2 revision 505 (pre-series model); Video card geForce 8800 GTX from asus production with drivers forceware 100.65; 2 X 1 Gb memory type DDR 2-800 (5-5-5-15) from corsair production  ; Hard disk seagate barracuda 7200.10 ( 320 Gb volume ) ; Power unit antec truePower trio ( 650 W ); Operating system Windows vista ultimate (32-bit).
