NEC company plans to release its new ultrabook LaVie Z. The device has a compact case made of magnesium-lithium alloy (thickness - just 14.9 mm) and weight (about 875 g). According to the manufacturer, new material is 50% lighter than aluminum, commonly used in such cases.
LaVie Z has a 13.3-inch display and will be based on Ivy Bridge platform with a 1.9-GHz (2.4 GHz Turbo Mode) CPU Intel Core i7-3517U and 256-GB SSD-drive, or with 1,7 - GHz Intel Core i5-3317U and SSD-disk 128 GB. In addition, both versions are equipped with 4GB of DDR3 memory standard, , as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.
The cost of this ultrabook is still unknown.
