NEC has announced the ultrabook LaVie X (PC-LX850JS). The screen diagonal is 15.6 inches: the thickness of the laptop is only 12.8 mm. Overall dimensions of the notebook are 375 x 255 x 12.8 mm and the weight is equal to 1.59 kg.
NEC LaVie X is built in Intel components: Motherboard Chipset Intel QS77 Express works in tandem with the dual-core Intel Core i7-3517U. The latter operates at a frequency of 1.9 to 3.0 GHz with 4 MB of cache and supports Hyper-Threading.
The amount of laptop RAM - 4GB, based on the storage system is a solid-state drive capacity of 256 GB. Special attention is given to the laptop screen: it is based on IPS resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Display size is 15.6 inches.
In the configuration of ultrabooks are communication modules Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 + HS, web-camera with 0.9 megapixels, the total capacity of the two speakers two 2W and microphone, memory card slot SDXC. The device works under Windows 8.
Ultrabook will be available in Japan from 27 December for about $ 1550.
