NEC presented its new notebook series laVie light BL100 and BL300. Their most noticeable difference is the presence of 10,1 inches screens (the screen size of the previous model laVie light was equal to 8,9 inches). LaVie light BL100 has the screen resolution 1024 x 576 pixels. In the case of BL300, BL310 and BL350 the resolution is 1024 x 600 pixels.
In the configuration of BL100 enters the processor atom n270, which works at 1,6 GHz frequency. The models series BL300 is built on n280 processor, working at 1,66 GHz frequency. In any event, the memory volume is equal to 1 GB. BL100 Equipment includes SSD with 16 GB volume. The more expensive models BL300/310 are equipped with 160 GB HDD. Elder model BL350 is accessible in two versions : with SSD and HDD. BL100 has the adapter 802.11b/g, and BL300 : 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR. The weight of new notebook (simple configuration) is 1,07 kg, the average model weight is 1,14 kg, and the most equipped BL350 : 1,32 kg.
The deliveries of updated NEC notebook with Microsoft Windows XP home SP3 began yesterday. The Prices are traditionally high : base configuration BL100 cost approximately $520, BL300 and BL310/350 : $625 and $730 respectively.
Simultaneously NEC released the monoblock PC valueStar E VE570/TG using the processor AMD athlon X2 3250e (1,5 GHz), which has 18,5 inches screen and 1366x768 pixels. Its configuration includes 2 GB memory, HDD with 500 GB volume, DVD drives and wireless net adapter 802.11b/g/n. Related Products :
