NEC has introduced a new mobile device - a hybrid tablet and smartbook LaVie Y. Judging by the performance and appearance, the new product is a copy of the earlier Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11.
NEC LaVie Y built on the platform NVIDIA Tegra 3 (clock speed CPU SoC - 1,3 GHz), which is controlled by the OS Windows RT and equipped with a screen that rotates at an angle close to 360 degrees. The display is 11.6 inches and the resolution is equal to 1366 x 768 pixels. The configuration of the device includes 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory, wireless adapters Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 + LE, the memory card slot SD, two USB 2.0 ports, and video output HDMI, as well as web Camera resolution of 0.9 megapixels. In addition, there were no integrated electronic compass and accelerometer.
According to official data, the battery life of LaVie Y is 8 hours video playback of high-definition. Dimensions of new items are 298 x 204 x 15.6 mm and the weight is 1.24 kg. The product will be available on 22 November, it will be possible to buy it for about $ 1135. For comparison, the cost of Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 in the U.S. starts at $ 799.
