Range of x86-compatible AMD solutions can be divided into two main categories: Construction Equipment (Bulldozer, Piledriver, and their successors) and cat family (Bobcat, Jaguar and subsequent architecture). Â
The core of next generation will inherit many features of Bobcat, but will be expanded and optimized, which will significantly increase the speed: AMD announces growth of clock frequency by 10% and increase in IPC (instructions per clock) by 15%.  Jaguar supports extensions SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX and AES, in addition, the core hardware divider inherited from  APU Llano generation.
The most noticeable change will be the new design of the cache in the second level. Â The processor can have up to four cores and four Jaguar bank L2 cache total 2 MB. Â Core and cache are reported through a special interface, which is also connected to the chipset.
Jaguar processors core area are designed for the production on 28 nm technology and is equal to only 3.1 mm ². Related Products :
